Target groups

Consistent with the philosophy of the NEB, the project aims to reach several target groups in order to create an interdisciplinary network. These target groups are:

  • Young people (18-25 years old): they are going to be targeted in more than a way; in the first place they will be the main “protagonists” of the project’s activities,. The aim of the project is exactly that of equipping them with the competencies needed to be actively engaged in their socio-economic context as entrepreneurs, leading regeneration projects bringing “beauty” in rural/urban areas until that moment “left behind”.
  • Youth workers from Local NGOs active in the territory (youth, social, cultural, environmental, urban/rural associations etc.) and youth leaders: enabling those who are most in contact with young people looking for some sort of “payback” with the right methodology to “guide” them towards positive efforts is the second main objective of the project.
  • Cultural heritage actors (such as cultural associations and foundations, NGOs, social and cultural enterprises) and Organisations, mainly at local level, operating in the field of green-economy and sustainability: NEBULA wants to be the starting point of multi-disciplinary discussions and creation of strong networks; for this reason the project will involve all those actors who can work as points of reference for young aspiring entrepreneurs in the fields of creativity and sustainability; Public authorities/municipalities and other stakeholders active in the relevant project’s fields: making them aware of the needs of young people and of methods through which such needs can be satisfied will ensure a much wider impact for NEBULA project.

The general needs were addressed via a joint research to understand the needs of the target groups, and by an in-depth literature review of the pre-existing studies about the topic carried out before the submission of the proposal. This generated the idea that our targets want to find a sustainable way to give new life to their area, regardless being rural or urban, via a practical approach of social entrepreneurship, through innovative ventures willing to valorise the local cultural heritage.

This process of revitalization can bring 2 outcomes: on one hand it can push young citizens to become more active, interested and engaged into public life and socio-economic/environmental affairs, on the other one it can unravel the hidden beauties of the territory by creating new, and sustainable, job opportunities.
