We develop initiatives with the goal of encouraging young people to be more active in the field of environmental and sustainable development. In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our commitment to the field of sustainability is directed in the following 5 directions: climate justice; solidarity with a focus on social inclusion, minorities, migrants and refugees; promoting gender equality; health and wellbeing; partnership for sustainability.
In 2019, we started the development of the project KA2 "EllE Empower - learn - led - Expand: YOUth4SDGs" changing the rules transforming our world. In the frame of the project, we are motivating the youngsters to get active and empower them to turn their ideas into real social activities by raising awareness, promoting an active dialogue and strengthening crosssectorial cooperation among youth & stakeholders allowing for greater synergies across all fields on SDGs. In 2021, the project SMART-Y ( Youth Together for Green and Sustainable European Rural Territories) has started with the aim to boost the realization of the European Youth Goal #10 "Green and Sustainable Europe" via the startup of a transnational network of youth organizations active in EU rural areas and able to Engage, Connect and Empower vulnerable young people towards the co-creation of European Smart Villages. In the #RFSD2021 - Regional Forum on Sustainable Development hosted by UNECE, we have integrated youth organizations in order to uncover concrete policy actions to accelerate SDG progress and spur the efforts to build back better.
In 2021, we started the MEET- Moving EuropE Together: from Local Citizens' Agoras to the Conference on the Future of Europe project funded by the European Parliament and coordinated by the European Policy Centre, with the aim to set up on- and offline debates between EU policymakers (including MEPs) and citizens in parallel with the Conference on the Future of Europe.
From March 2021 to September 2022 we are coordinating the EuroChangemakers project funded by the Europe for Citizens program with the aim of discussing, reflecting, and proposing concrete solutions for the future of Europe. The project will engage over 300 citizens from all project participating countries in National civic hackathons to create an informal network of 100 young EuropeanChangeMakers (ECM) from all project participating countries that are leading by example.
Also in 2021 we started another KA2 project, CREAction4EU, which aims to raise awareness on the importance of active citizenship through social entrepreneurship, specifically focused on the creative industries. This will impact on the motivation of young people to be engaged in future careers related to creative business.
